starting to agree on the potential change back to snow starting on
Saturday.
The Science:
The low pressure system tracking into
southern California waters will drag all the energy and moisture with it today.
With the low pressure to our south and high pressure over the interior west, a
cold dry airmass will be pulled into PNW. Early morning temperatures creep into the low
teens as the week progresses. An inversion
cloud layer will likely form in the eastern basin with clear skies over the mountains. Enjoy the sunshine.
Long range (5-7days) forecasts
hinge on jet stream. The 7 day jet
stream model has it starting to shift to the NW on Friday. This will hopefully push the high pressure to
the east and allow a few winter storms to enter the region. Stay tuned.
