The Forecast: Increasing clouds with light snow developing late Saturday. Moderate snow Saturday night and Sunday at relatively cool temperatures, with warming Sunday afternoon.

Long Range:  Moderate snow continues Sunday and Monday morning. A ridge of high pressure brings benign weather Monday afternoon and Tuesday. The next storm system arrives Wednesday, with the possibility of a low-land snow event taking shape.
  
The Science: Yet another triple point front is approaching Saturday morning. The “warm” portion will have little effect on Stevens Pass with cold air in place, east flow developing, and the elongated nature of the front not pushing in very aggressively today. Light snow begins tonight with post frontal showers driving orographic snow showers tonight and Sunday.
