The Forecast: Moderate to heavy snow showers today with temperatures
falling slightly tonight. There will be
a brief break in the moisture tomorrow with another mixed snow and rain event anticipated
to begin tomorrow night.
Long
Range: Mild temperature with diminishing precipitation for
Thursday. Cooler temperatures with light
intermittent snow showers will be on the menu for Friday and Saturday.
The Science:
The cold front that passed over Stevens
around 730 this morning is now heading through Eastern Washington. Westerly flow will strengthen today with good
convergence showers developing.
Attention shifts to a low
pressure system rapidly moving up the coast.
This will bring a spike in freezing levels (+-5000) tomorrow night/
early Thursday morning. A strong cold
front is expected to swing in and save the day Thursday afternoon. Snow showers with freezing levels +-2000’
will lead us into the weekend.
