Long Range:  The next system of interest begins to impact the forecast area Tuesday morning. Moderate to occasionally heavy rain and snow is expected at rising freezing levels. High pressure returns for the second half of the week.
  
The Science: A low pressure system is making landfall in northern Oregon this morning. The only evidence to be felt in Central Washington will be high clouds and maybe a snowflake or two. High pressure begins to build in Sunday night and will make for a sunny, cool day on Monday.
