The Science: A low pressure system is dropping south from the BC coast this morning. Its track will be well west of the Cascade Crest and will bring with it a relatively dry, cool, continental air mass. Freezing levels will lower to sea level by Monday, with Fraser River outflow expected to develop which will bring breezy conditions to the Northern Interior. All in all, the I-5 corridor and northern Olympic Peninsula stand to get more snow than most of the Washington ski areas out of this event. The low continues to sag south on Monday, with Washington being left in a trough of cool air.
