The Forecast: Cold

with little to no precipitation and continued cold temperatures.
Long
Range: High pressure
moves inland Tuesday afternoon and brings sunny skies and cold temperatures for
the middle of the week. Another low pressure system from the north appears on
Thursday, details to come but another lowland snow event (and maybe more
significant mountain snow) looks possible.
The Science:
The low pressure system that has ushered in this cold air mass will continue to
track south during the day. It opens up into a trough for Tuesday and shifts
inland, with high pressure building off the coast. This will allow for
northerly upper level flow, bringing clearing skies and continued cold
temperatures.
