Stevens Pass Mountain Weather Forecast

Current Observations:
24hr Precipitation:  .06swe, 2” of snow
Temperature profile: 19 base, 15 ridges
Pass level winds: light easterly
Barometer:  low at 998mb’s
Sky: Broken clouds
Radar: moisture south of Yakima moving north.

The Forecast: Gusty east wind and light snow will develop today.  We can expect these light passing snow showers to continue through Saturday.  

Long Range:  Sunday and Monday will be cooler with more snow showers showing up on Tuesday.
  
The Science: The low pressure that has parked itself off the PNW coast will spin more bands of moisture up through the region again today.  The moisture is tracking up from the south which will split the Cascade Crest and drop most of the snow on the eastern slopes.

The general pattern will slowly shift to NW flow early next week which will keep snow in the conversation.
