Storm Update:

We currently have a temperature inversion with ridge top temps reading 23f.   Pass level temperatures are 14 but rising.  Freezing levels will begin to fall after 4pm today. 

Precipitation:  Moderates snow today with +.75swe, 6-10” expected. Moisture shifts to light snow after midnight.   

Winds:  Ridge top winds have shifted to westerly with Pass level wind expected to shift from east to west in a few hours or so.

Current Observations:

24hr Precipitation:  +-3” of new snow since 6am.

Temperature profile: 14base, 23 upper ridge

Pass level winds: light to moderate E

Barometer: 1002mb’s – and falling

Sky: obscure

Radar: Wide spread snow
