STORM UPDATE


Stevens Pass Mountain Weather Forecast
Wednesday, December 18, 2019, 1330

Storm update:
The approaching warm front and its associated moisture is just making land fall along the OR/WA coast.  The moisture is expected to reach the mountains after 7pm tonight with 3-5” of snow by morning.   

The snow will diminish with the passing of the following cold front tomorrow morning. Only an inch or two of snow is expected during the day tomorrow with them main event starting after 4pm.  

Models are starting to align with a rain event below 4500’ starting around midnight tomorrow night.  Freezing levels will fluctuate between 4000’ and 5000’ into Saturday.  Thus, we can expect mixed rain and snow showers Friday and Saturday.

4pm today through 4pm tomorrow = .5” swe  - 3-5” snow
4pm tomorrow through 4am Friday = 1” swe -  2-5” snow
