The Forecast: Clear and sunny today
with temperatures peaking in the upper 20’s.
Hit repeat for tomorrow.
The Science: High pressure parked over
the PNW will dominate the weather pattern for the next few days. Warm air advection creeping up the western
slopes, coupled with cooler easterly flow, will create a temperature inversion
for the Cascade Crest. Rh values (30-50%)
should be low enough to keep the inversion cloud layer from forming. This high
pressure is expected to weakening and drifting south as the week progresses.
Long Range. Clouds with light
precipitation can be expected on Friday with snow likely for the weekend.
Confidence: Good
