Radar:       Scattered rain showers along the western slopes of the mountains


The Forecast:  Increasing mixed rain and snow this afternoon turning to snow with falling temperatures overnight.   Snow ends tomorrow afternoon with Sunday trending dry with sun breaks.

The Science:  A low pressure cell, with and embedded cold front will bring the next push of moisture to Stevens Pass tonight.   Cooler NW flow will fill in behind the front for falling freezing levels.  Moderate to heavy snow can be expected through the night with the precipitation quickly ending mid-day tomorrow.  

A legit high pressure ridge develops over the PNW starting tomorrow afternoon. This will produce mostly dry and clear weather for the region. 

Long Range. Dry, cool and clear weather develops tomorrow and last into early next week.

Freezing levels will begin to fall after 4pm today with cooler temperature settling in tomorrow.

Winds will pick up this evening with the passing of the front.  Winds should diminish and shift NW tomorrow.
