3/25/2008 Weather Discussion: Waves of snow with lower temperatures will move in this afternoon and continue through most of week. Long-term models show the northern jet stream continuing to produce unsettled weather for the PNW through the rest of the week. Forecast from Tuesday 4pm to Wednesday 4am Precipitation .25 -.5 in. Water 3-6 in. Snow Temperatures Low 24 High 32 Winds 0-5 SW Forecast for Wednesday 4am to 4pm Precipitation .25 in. Water 1-3 in. Snow Temperatures Low 24 High 30 Winds 5-10 W TRENDS AND TIMING Precipitation: Snow is expected to develop through the day. A showery pattern will persist through most of the week. Freezing levels: Freezing levels will slowly drop through the night. Freezing levels could drop to 1000’ of lower by tomorrow night. Winds: Winds will shift to a westerly flow as the cold front passes through. This system seems to be pretty slow moving so winds should be relatively light through tomorrow. jdm
