Discussion: High pressure will continue to bring cool clear weather for the remainder of the week. Day time temps will climb to the 20s today, with single digit lows again tonight.
Long-term models show a strong winter storm tracking in for the weekend. Models are having a hard time nailing down the exact timing so I will tackle that when they start to agree.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Dry through Friday.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will hover around 2000’ today. However, surface temps will have a pretty significant diurnal swing during the next 24 hours. Single digits again early tomorrow morning with day time temps quickly jumping to the low 30s.
Winds: East flow will continue until the weekend storm starts to break through.
