Discussion: Our nice winter storm is right on schedule. Snow will continue through the night. High pressure will push north tomorrow afternoon ending the precipitation.
Long-term models show a drying trend for Thursday and Friday. There is not much agreement in the models beyond Friday, so I will wait to get a better fix for the weekend.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Convergence flow has just kicked in, this will drive good orographics for the next 12-24hrs. Depending on the convergence intensity and duration the snow totals could be higher – could be another great Stevens pow day.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will trend down tonight to near sea level. Freezing levels will then slowly rise to near pass level by Thursday morning.
Winds: Winds will also ramp up today bringing gusty periods through the night. Could see gust +40mph through the night. Winds will taper and swing north than east by Thursday morning.
