4/8/2009 Weather Discussion: Looks like spring is making a good effort this week. A weak cold front will push marine air through the pass today. This will result in plenty of clouds and light rain or snow through tomorrow. Long-term models show a series of weak systems with dry periods in between affecting the region through the weekend. Snow Temperatures Low 30 High 40 Winds 0-5 SW TRENDS AND TIMING Precipitation: Light rain and/or snow showers will begin this afternoon. This pattern will persist through tomorrow. Freezing levels: Freezing levels will fluctuate between 3500 and 4500’ for the next few days. Surface temperature will remain spring like with highs in the 40’s. Winds: A short breezy period is expected this afternoon as the cold front moves though. Wind should taper through the night and remain calm tomorrow.
