Short term: It’s nice to see a few inches of new snow out there. The atmosphere will dry today. We just might get a glimpse of the sun too.

Long-term: The approaching system will split around the PNW. Therefore, we can expect a dry weekend. Next week looks like it will start out dry with a potential for more weak systems moving in for the second part of the week.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will taper to showers this morning and then dry up all together. The atmosphere will remain a little unstable, so you might see a snow flurry floating around out there from time to time.

Freezing levels: Our temperature regime will remain the same with freezing levels holding steady around the 3000’- 3500’ level. Some cooler air from the NE is expected to bring lower surface temperature Sunday/Monday.

Winds: Light East flow will continue through the weekend. JDM
