Short term: Temperatures will be right near freezing as the moisture continues today. Wouldn’t be surprise to get a little rain in the base area but the upper mountain should stay in snow.

Long-term: Bands of moisture with temperatures near freezing level will continue through the weekend.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Heavy wet snow will continue today. Would rule out rain below 4500’ but the upper mountain should stay white. Most of the moisture will fall today and then begin to wane through the night. .25-.5 is expected overnight (4pm-4am)

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will rise to 4500’ today and stick there through the next 24 hours.

Winds: East flow with periods of overriding SW winds will also continue through tomorrow. JDM
