Short term: A weak high pressure ridge east of the crest will try and build today bringing an end to the steady snow.

Long-term: After a day or two of light snow showers and sun breaks, this NW flow pattern will bring another system through the Cascades on Friday/Saturday.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Light to moderate snow showers will continue to pass through as the atmosphere tries to stabilize during the next 24 hours. It will be possible to squeeze a inch or two out of these showers, but that will be about it.

Freezing levels 2500-3500’. Freezing levels will slowly fall as cool air from the north settles in. Could see 1500’ freezing levels Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. Watch for the sun to push surface temps near freezing today and tomorrow.

Winds: Light westerly flow will continue through Thursday. JDM
