STEVENS PASS MOUNTAIN WEATHER

12/1/2010 Weather

24HR SNAP SHOT starting at NOON today

Water - .10  Snow - 0-1
Freezing levels - dropping to 1500'
Winds  - light WNW

General Discussion:  Well, the models over did the precipitation amounts.  Still managed to get +-.75 out of it -  should still be good skiing.    A few left over snow showers in between some sun breaks are in store for opening day.

Long-term: Light snow showers will continue as a weak system brushes the coast for the remainder of the week. The next system to watch will arrive on Sunday or Monday.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Just a few lingering snow showers today with no significant accumulation expected.

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will slowly drop today as cool air filters in from the north.

Winds: Light northerly flow aloft, with westerly flow at the surface, will keep the winds very low today. East flow is expected to develop on Friday. jdm
