General Discussion: This active weather pattern will continue to produce moderate to heavy snow showers through tomorrow. Upper level ridging will bring a break in the action tomorrow and part of Saturday.
Long-term: A warm front driving up from the SW will bring rising freezing levels and potentially heavy precipitation to the mountains Saturday night and Sunday.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Moderate to heavy snow showers will continue through noon tomorrow. A heavy period of snow may occur tonight powered by a Puget Sound Convergence Zone. Snow will taper to light showers after noon tomorrow.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will drop to 3000’ after midnight. Freezing levels will remain near the 3000’ level until Saturday.
Winds: Westerly flow will strengthen today. A strong wind event will be possible after closing today. Sustained winds of +25mph, with higher gust likely, will be possible through the night. Winds will taper off tomorrow morning. jdm
