General Discussion: The main weather feature today will be the cold east winds blowing through the Pass. Weak disturbances moving up the coast will bring snow showers to the mountains tomorrow.
Long-term: This pattern of passing snow showers will continue through the weekend and into early next week. No significant systems expected in the long term outlook.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Today will remain dry with snow flurries possible. Snow showers will begin around mid day tomorrow. Other than a few inches here and there from these showers, there is no significant accumulation is expected through the weekend.
Freezing levels: Cold air east of the crest will continue to hold freezing temperature low through the weekend.
Winds: East flow will strengthen today and remain strong through tomorrow. Ridge top winds could exceed 40mph tonight.
