General Discussion: A low pressure system hanging off the Washington coast will spin bands of snow showers through the state today and tomorrow.

Long-term: This pattern of periodic bands of moisture passing through the Cascade Mountains will continue into next week. A slow warming trend will begin as warm air from the south infiltrates during the next few days. Freezing levels could be near Pass level by the middle of the week.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: A few inches of snow will be possible as moderate snow showers pass through from time to time.

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will continue to hover near the 2000’ level today.

Winds: These brisk east winds will remain gusty through tomorrow.
