STEVENS PASS MOUNTAIN WEATHER

2/7/2011 Weather

24HR FORECAST starting at NOON today

Water < .24 Snow - trace
Freezing Levels -  3500 falling to 1000'
Winds 5-10 NNW

General Discussion: Our storm stalled just off the coast last night and lost a bit of its punch. Hopefully we will squeeze a few more inches of snow out of it before it quits later today.

Long-term: High pressure will begin to build tonight producing a dry and clear weather pattern for the remainder of the week. Peeking further out, there is a chance of another system moving into the PNW on Saturday.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will taper off later today. A drying trend will begin this evening as high pressure builds off the coast.

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will continue to fall through the next 24 hrs.

Winds: An 87mph gust was record last night at the top of Tye Mill. Winds will also begin to mellow and shift NW today. Light northerly winds will be norm for the next few days.
