STEVENS PASS MOUNTAIN WEATHER

2/9/2011 Weather

24HR FORECAST starting at NOON today

Water - 0  Snow - 0
Freezing Levels -  1500' rising to 3500'
Winds -  0-10 WNW

General Discussion: High pressure will continue to bring glorious weather to the mountains for the rest of the week.

Long-term: The high pressure is expected to weaken as the week progresses. If this holds true, it will allow NW flow to develop on Saturday, and thus, bring a chance of snow. Long range models are starting to come to an agreement on a cooler and wetter pattern developing for next week.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: 0

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will rise to near pass level by tomorrow afternoon. Sun breaks will push surface temperatures above freezing at times today. Night time clearing will allow surface temperature to dip into the teens again tonight.

Winds: Light NW flow will continue through tomorrow.
