General Discussion: A fast approaching cold front will bring more snow to the mountains tonight.
Long-term: Snow will end tomorrow with dry (possibly sunny) conditions setting up for Sunday and the first part of the week.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Light snow will develop today. Snow intensity will increase tonight with the heaviest period between 7pm and 2am. Snow will taper off tomorrow with dry conditions expected through Tuesday. A short period of Convergence conditions will be possible, so snow totals could be bumped up a touch.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will rise to 3500’ today and then fall in the wake of the cold front during the early morning hours. Surface temperature could be reach freezing today with the aid of the sun.
Winds: East flow will shift W tonight. Gusty westerly winds will accompany the front but should quickly mellow out tomorrow morning.
