General Discussion: A fast moving, strong front will hit tonight with another shot of heavy snow and high winds.
Long-term: Weak high pressure aloft will try and build tomorrow producing just light snow showers and maybe a sun break or two. More systems are on their way for Saturday and Sunday. Yes, more snow.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Another push of heavy moisture is expected this evening. Convergence conditions are expected to develop along with strong westerly flow. Snow will quickly taper off after midnight with just light snow showers left over tomorrow.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will gradually fall through the next 24 hrs. Freezing level will rebound a bit tomorrow rising into the 3000’ range.
Winds: A high wind event is expected this evening with ridge top winds exceeding 50mph. The strong westerly flow will weaken through the night and shift easterly tomorrow.
