3/23/2011 Weather
24HR FORECAST starting at NOON today
Water - <.25 Snow - 1-3
Freezing Levels - 4000'
Winds - 5-15 E gusty
General Discussion: Enjoy the beautiful weather today because snow is back in our future. A low pressure system churning off the coast, will pull bands of moisture and warmer temperatures up from the south during the next few days.
Long-term: The long range forecast models have the approaching systems weakening and breaking apart as they hit land. Therefore, precipitation amounts over the weekend will probably be downgraded. We can still expect bands of passing snow showers to be the weather pattern through the weekend.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Today will be mostly dry. A small band of moisture will bring a period of snow early tomorrow morning. Snow showers are expected to increase late tomorrow and into Friday.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will rise to 4500’ this evening.
Winds: East flow will strengthen today and become gusty along the ridge tops.
