3/27/2011 Weather
24HR FORECAST starting at NOON today
Water - .25 -.5 Snow - 3-5
Freezing levels - 3500'
Winds 5-10 WSW
General Discussion: A frontal system approaching the PNW coast will bring another round of moisture to the mountains today.
Long-term: The upcoming week will be wet with a snow/rain mix probable throughout. High pressure is trying to build late in the week. If this materializes, the weekend could be sunny and warm.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Another band of snow will pass through tonight with partial clearing tomorrow morning. Moderate to heavy precipitation is expected for Tuesday/Wednesday.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will fall to 3000’ through the night. Freezing levels are expected to rise to 5000’ or higher by the middle of the week.
Winds: Westerly flow aloft will accompany the next front. East flow will thus give way to WSW flow late tonight.
