General Discussion: A very strong warm front will bring heavy precipitation and high winds to the Pass tonight and tomorrow.
Long-term: This storm will come to and end early Friday morning as high pressure builds. The weekend is looking mostly dry with a chance of some light snow.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will continue today with 2-4” still possible. Snow will change to heavy rain sometime this evening. Storm totals could exceed 4” of water by Friday morning.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will rise to 4000’ today and then continue rising through the night. Freezing levels are expected to top out at 6000’+ tomorrow.
Winds: Winds will also be a big player during this storm. Models show westerly winds topping 50mph starting early tomorrow morning. High winds will be a factor throughout the day.
