Freezing levels - 4500' rising to 6000'
Winds - 15-30 W  Gust near 50mph possible.


General Discussion: The leading edge of the warm front hit the coast early this morning. As the front moves through the mountains, the fun will begin with heavy rain, rising freezing levels, and high winds.

Long-term: Cool air flowing in behind this front will bring some snow late tomorrow. Friday will be mostly dry with more snow possible on Saturday.


TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will change to rain today. Rain will slowly shift back to snow early tomorrow morning and then begin to taper off through the day. Storm totals are exceeding 5” of water by Friday morning.

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will rise above 6000’ today with surface temperatures possibly reaching 40f. Freezing levels are expected to slowly fall tomorrow.

Winds: +20 mph sustained westerly winds will crank through the pass today and most of tomorrow.
