General Discussion: Underestimated snow totals last night by a few inches. There will be great skiing this morning before the heat of the day gets it. Light snow showers will linger over the Cascade Crest today.
Long-term: NW flow will keep unseasonable low temperatures and the chance of showers in the forecast through the weekend. A cool, moist air mass will continue the threat of showers and low temperatures into next week.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Passing snow showers will be possible through tomorrow.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels are expected to rise to 4500’ today. Warm surface temperatures will continue through the night. Freezing levels are expected to drop tomorrow with the potential for them to reach +- 500’ early Sunday morning.
Winds: Light east flow at the surface will shift westerly later today.
