General Discussion: The first in a series of fronts will arrive this afternoon. Rain turning to snow will be likely.

Long-term: The weekend will be filled with plenty of snow with another very strong low pressure system preparing to impact the PNW on Monday.

Trend and Timing:
It will be likely that the precipitation will start out as rain this afternoon. However, the rain should quickly turn to snow and continue through the night. There will be a short break between storms tomorrow with snow ramping back up tomorrow night. Storm totals from 4pm today through 4pm Sunday could exceed 2” of water. 12-24” of snow.

Freezing level: 5000’ 3500’

Trend and Timing:
Temperatures will slowly drop through the night. Freezing levels will keep descending throughout the weekend, perhaps reaching 2000’ or lower on Sunday.

Westerly flow will continue throughout the weekend. High ridge top winds can be expected throughout this series of storms.
