MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day: 1130 Thursday

 
The Snapshot:   Happy Spring Equinox Powder Day.  Snow will slowly diminish today with continued low temperatures overnight and tomorrow.   Sun and gradual warming can be expected over the weekend.

 
The Science:  High pressure building off of the PNW coast will eventually cut off the convergence snow showers today.   Some light snow will be possible tomorrow with little to no accumulation expected.    

 
4-7day Long Range:  High pressure will dominate the flow pattern through them middle of next week.  Warm southerly flow will also bring temperatures into seasonal norms.

16hr Water by 4am tomorrow  = >.25  Snow = 1-3
24hr water by noon tomorrow =   Snow = .25
 
Trend and Timing:
The snow showers will slowly taper off through the day.  Tonight and tomorrow will be mostly dry.

Freezing level: +- 3000’

Freezing levels will remain relatively low (fluctuating between 2000’ and 3000’) through Saturday morning.
