1000 Tuesday:
The Snapshot: Today and tomorrow will be
dry with high clouds developing. Rain
and snow will enter the scene early Thursday morning with the first of a series
of storms poised to hit the PNW.
The Science: The high-pressure ridge is finally starting to
weaken and drift east. Southerly flow
will push temperatures to near freezing between 4k and 5k during the next few
days. The first wave of moisture is currently
timing out to arrive early Thursday morning with a little rain/snow mix likely.
4-7day Long Range: The main event will be sometime on Friday as a
strong frontal system arrives. This is
packing a decent amount of moisture with freezing levels starting out around 4500’
and then dropping. There is a potential
for a foot or more of snow by the end of the weekend. This wet, warmish pattern is expected to
continue into next week.
