INTERESTING WEATHER

Even though there are no winter storms to watch pound the mountains, there is a major weather event happening out yonder on the coast.  A very strong storm is tracking up the Oregon coast today and is expected to impact the Puget Sound region later today.  Another strong frontal sytem will take a similar path with similar results tomorrow.  Models have 60-80knot (hurricane force) southerly winds, with torrential rain.  25" seas are being reported.

The mountains won’t get the brunt of this due to the very low pressure gradients and the northerly track.  But it is the source of the warm temps and the rain.
