0830 Wednesday:
The Snapshot: Rainy conditions will continue through early
Friday morning. A drying and cooling trend is anticipated for the weekend and
early next week.
The Science: .9” of rain fell on Stevens
Pass last night. A similar event is
expected today with the next band of moisture arriving this afternoon. A low-pressure system tracking up the coast
will bring moderate intermittent showers to the mountains tomorrow. High-pressure building off the PNW coast will
produce a dry and partly clear weekend.
4-7day
Long Range: The next potential for snow
will not be until the middle of next week.
There is hope as the flow turns NW and storms start to form on a cooler
NW jet stream. Snow dances can be ramped
up now.
