MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

0700 Sunday:

The Snapshot:  High clouds with some partial clearing today and tomorrow.  Rain is expected for most of the upcoming week with some snow possible towards the end.

The Science:   A ridge of high pressure will pass through the region today for the 12-24hr period of dry and partly clear weather.  A SW oriented jet stream will continue to push bands of warm precipitation through the mountains through at least Thursday. 

4-7day Long Range:  Cooler air is trying to make its way in towards the end of the week; some snow could be possible late Thursday or early Friday morning.   The weekend is trending dry under another high-pressure ridge - at the moment.

Trend and Timing:
Today will be mostly dry with a chance of some very light precipitation early tomorrow morning.  Light rain or snow will be possible tomorrow.

Freezing levels will continue to rise with surface temperatures reaching +-40f tomorrow.
