the region. The first relatively weak system arrives early Saturday morning with the next strong storm moving in on Sunday.
Early
snow calculations by: 4am Sunday = 1-3”, by 4am Monday = 6-10”.
The Science:
North south pressure gradients along the
Cascade crest will tighten today which will strengthen the east flow through
the Pass. This is an early indicator of
the change that is coming.
The high pressure ridge
parked over the interior west will begin to weaken and shift east over the next
3 days. This will open the door for a
series of fronts to enter the region starting on Saturday. The storms will increase in energy and
moisture as the week progress.
