Radar:  Light precipitation falling in the mountains with heavy rain showers moving into the Puget Sound region  

The Forecast:  Moderate to heavy mixed rain and snow with falling temperatures will continue through the weekend.

Long Range:  The precipitation will continue through the middle of next week.
  
The Science: A seasonal westerly storm track is underway with several pulses of moisture poised to impact the PNW through the next 5-7 days.  Freezing levels will bounce between 4000’ and 6000’ as these systems move through.

There appears to be a break in the moisture next Thursday with a more active weather setting up for the following weekend.
