The Science: The high pressure system parked over the PNW
waters will remain solidly in place through the week. Some of the cold artic air descending into
the Great Plains will make its way west starting on Wednesday. This will create
a cooler offshore flow pattern with freezing levels dropping to or below 4000’.
Unseasonably warm air will return over
the weekend under a SW flow pattern.
