The Science:  The cold front that passed east of the crest early this morning tracked south of Stevens Pass with the occluded front now lifting north.  What this means is that the freezing levels did not drop as low as anticipated and thus only rain fell below 4500’.  L

A band of moisture associated with the upper level trough will push NE through the mountains this morning with dry, cooler northerly flow filling in overnight.

A high pressure system with its SW ridge stretching out along the west coast will drift into place over the next 24hrs.  This will produce clear and cooler conditions tonight with a warming trend expected to wrap up the week.

The next chance of moisture will be Sunday with long range models showing a more potent system arriving mid-week or so.

Confidence: short term good, long term poor.
