Discussion: High pressure currently building over the PNW will produce a warm and dry final weekend to Stevens Pass.
Long-term models show a cold front moving through on Sunday. This will bring a return to a cool wet pattern for the up coming week.
AVALANCHE AWARENESS: With the rapid rising temperature trend the avalanche potential will rise as well. Expect new snow surface slides of a foot or more on all sun exposed slopes tomorrow and through the weekend. Be careful out there.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow should taper off this evening. A dry pattern should remain in place though most of the weekend.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels should reach pass level sometime this afternoon and slip back down to 3000’ overnight. Freezing levels will then quickly push up to 7000+ feet by tomorrow evening. Temps will rise higher on Saturday with freezing levels potentially peaking 10K or higher.
Winds: Westerly winds will also taper off today in response to the building high pressure. Light westerly flow tomorrow will give way to a developing east flow on Saturday.
