Short term: The leading edge of a cold front is now east of the mountains. This will turn off the snow and bring cooling temperatures.

Long-term: Off shore flow combined with a building ridge of high pressure will bring a dry, cool and sunny week ahead.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Other than a few lingering snow showers the snow is pretty much done. The atmosphere will begin to stabilize and clear through the night.

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will fall to 3000’ in the wake of the cold front this afternoon. Freezing levels will continue to slowly fall through the week. Look for a diurnal temperatures cycle to begin with clear cool nights and sunny days.

Winds: Westerlies will switch to easterly overnight. Off shore/east flow will dominate the flow pattern for the rest of the week. JDM
