Short term: Clouds will move in today in preparation for the upcoming systems approaching the PNW.

Long-term: It’s looking pretty good to get some snow for the next 2-6 days. Spikes in freezing levels will accompany warm fronts from time to time, so rain can be possible near pass level.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: The first small wave of moisture will show up after 4pm today. Light snow will continue through the night and tomorrow morning. Snow will be enhanced tomorrow morning before it begins to taper to showers during the afternoon hours.

Freezing levels: 2500-3500’ - A warm front passing through tomorrow morning will raise freezing levels to 4000’ after 4am. Freezing levels will hover near Pass level for the remainder of the day.

Winds: Light east flow will continue through the night. Westerly flow will override tomorrow morning. Gusty westerlies will be possible tomorrow. JDM
