General Discussion: A whopper of a storm, almost 4” of water in the last 24hrs with another 1” expected today. Snow is expected tomorrow.

Long-term: April showers will bring more snow to the mountains and eventually spring flowers. A low pressure system developing in the Gulf of Alaska will spin more fronts through the PNW through most of next week.

TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: The precipitation will come to and end later today with an additional foot of snow possible. A few residual snow showers will continue overnight. A cold front will bring another round of snow later tomorrow.

Freezing levels: Freezing levels will slowly fall through the day. Freezing levels are expected to reach 3000’ or lower by Saturday morning.

Winds: The winds have a slight SW orientation which sheltered us from the higher winds yesterday and today. Winds will decrease and shift E overnight.
