General Discussion: Another active week of stormy weather will begin tomorrow with higher temperatures and snow.
Long-term: A series of systems tracking toward the PNW will continue to bring unsettled weather, with a generally warmer air regime, to the mountains through the week.
TRENDS AND TIMING
Precipitation: Snow will show up around 4am tomorrow morning and intensify through the day. There will be a break tomorrow evening with the next system tracking up from the south early Wednesday morning.
Freezing levels: Freezing levels will stay low through tonight and will rise during the day tomorrow as the front moves through. Rapid warming will be possible but surface temperatures shouldn’t reach freezing tomorrow. Watch for freezing levels to creep up to near pass level on Wednesday.
Winds: Westerly flow will briefly shift easterly tonight as the front approaches. Once the front moves through sometime tomorrow, winds will shift back from the west and become breezy for awhile.
