Sunday Morning Coffee Discussion

The early March NW storm track is showing little sign of change.   Long range models continue to show solid cool NW flow with several low pressure systems developing on it tails. One would expect to begin to see "spring like" patterns emerge with the spring equinox just a few weeks away.  But for now, that doesn’t seem to be the case.   However, it is inevitable with the days getting longer and the sun arching higher in the sky, that pattern changes will begin.  So as the month progresses, watch for day time temperature to progressively rise along with High pressure events growing in length and strength.   Enjoy the March powder.

Thurs the 10th forecast model - notice NW oriented isobar and the cold air still well established in the north.  But also notice the high pressure cell in the 4 corners region pushing ridges into the PNW.  Case in point.
