11/4/2013  Stevens Pass Mountain Weather Forecast

Time: 11:00am

 
A Snapshot: Sunshine today will give way to mixed rain and snow tonight and tomorrow.  Wednesday will be mostly dry with another system arriving on Thursday.

 
Atmospheric Science: A weak warm front approaching the PNW coast will create more precipitation tonight and tomorrow. A high pressure ridge will build tomorrow night for a short lived dry period on Wednesday.  The atmosphere will remain unstable under NW flow through the middle of next week –a typical seasonal pattern.  

 
4-7day Long Range: Another front, producing mixed rain and snow below 4500’ is expected to move through the mountains on Thursday/Friday.  The weekend through the middle of next week looks to be mostly dry for now.

Trend and Timing:
Snow changing to mixed rain and snow will arrive sometime this evening and continue through tomorrow.  Light passing showers with sun breaks will continue into Wednesday.

Trend and Timing:
