MOUNTAIN WEATHER FORECAST

Time and Day:  9:30 Monday 11/3/14

The Snapshot:  Rain today and tonight with temperatures in the low 40’s.  Dry tomorrow with more rain expected on Wednesday.

The Science: A southwest fetch of moisture being pulled toward the PNW by a low-pressure system will bring rain to the mountains for most of the week.  Surface ridging will bring some breaks in the rain tomorrow but will quickly give way to the next juicy frontal system on Wednesday and Thursday.   Freezing levels will remain well above Pass level influenced by warm southerly flow.

4-7day Long Range:   Long range models have a blocking ridge of high pressure dominating the pattern during the upcoming weekend and likely into next week.  In other words, this weekend looks dry and sunny.
