0900 Saturday:
The Snapshot: Cooler and dry through the weekend. At least there will be some sunshine to enjoy.
Nice alpenglow this morning. The week will start out dry with snow possible
on Thursday.
The Science: Cold stable air will settle over the mountains today
as high pressure builds. Morning fog
will persist along the crest with sunshine east of the mountains. High-pressure with offshore flow will block
and split the incoming systems keeping the mountains dry through at least
Thursday.
4-7day
Long Range: A frontal
system is expected late Thursday/Friday with a chance of snow. The northern jet stream is trending NW, hopefully,
this will be the start of some winter storms down the road.
